Job Description

Quality Officer (All Age)
London Borough of Havering
Contract: Permanent
Pay - £42,324 to £46,512 per annum subject to final confirmation.

As an All-Age Quality Officer, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality assurance activities across our social care provisions. You will:

  1. Lead quality inspections and ensure timely data sharing to improve service delivery.
  2. Conduct both announced and unannounced visits to providers' premises, producing detailed reports and recommendations.
  3. Collaborate with providers to meet quality standards and drive best practices.
  4. Work closely with key stakeholders, including the Care Quality Commission and OFSTED, to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  5. Support provider concerns meetings and provide written briefings on serious performance issues.
  6. Resolve queries, complaints, and safeguarding concerns from various stakeholders.
  7. Maintain robust partnerships and information sharing channels with key stakeholders.
  8. Support the development and delivery of Provider Engagement events to shape the market and enhance service quality.

Qualifications:

  • A good standard of English and excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
  • Relevant qualifications related to quality assurance are desirable.

Experience:

  • Experience in the Social Care or Health sector with a good understanding of relevant legislation.
  • Experience working in partnership with key stakeholders across Health, Social Care, Commissioning, and Brokerage.
  • Experience in a complex care setting environment and working with commissioners, brokerage, and providers to monitor contracts and quality standards.
  • Understanding of social care provision and quality standards.
  • Understanding of OFSTED and CQC assurance.

Skills and Attributes:

  • Good understanding of quality assurance processes within a social care setting.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to deal with stressful or distressing circumstances and contribute to service development.
