About the Role
The Marketing Director Region is responsible for managing and developing the marketing function of a Region within one of Essity's Business Unit. The Marketing Director is responsible for the definition and implementation of the agreed regional marketing activity plan and activation of the brand to local consumer and customers to contribute to the global brand development.
The role works collaboratively with Customer Marketing, Sales and Product Development, to provide clear and proactive communication on all initiatives and the overall brand strategy and architecture. The successful candidate will interface with the other Consumer Goods EMEA (CG EMEA) Marketing Directors, operations, and supply chain.
The function will report to the VP Sales & Marketing Consumer Goods Region Central & East.

What You Will Do
Lead, direct, and develop the local marketing organization in terms of structure, people, and performance to achieve maximum efficiency & effectiveness.
Establish a high-performance culture by developing the local team's knowledge, skills and abilities through training, regular performance feedback, and ongoing coaching.
Contribute to global brand strategy, fine-tune and deliver brand strategy in line with regional/local requirements and Global/Business Unit strategy.
Secure alignment of local pricing strategy, considering local market conditions.
Lead and develop regional marketing strategy and organization.
As a member of the Regional Management Team, take an active part in regional strategy work, follow up on regional achievements, act on deviations and take an active part in regional projects.
Build market, consumer, product and competitor knowledge in the Region, and provide input to European and Category functions.
Foster robust collaboration and relationships within marketing and cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Logistics, and Product Development.
Drive best practice sharing in marketing activities and measures within Europe.
Drive turnaround projects within the Region.
Ensure strong collaboration with Global Supply Chain for local initiatives and a high level of quality towards consumers.
Develop talents in the organization.
Who You Are
Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
At least ten years of Marketing management experience, including Branded FMCG, with a strong knowledge and network in Central and Eastern Europe.
Proven track record of brand building and business growth.
Digital marketing experience is an advantage.
Passion for consumer and customer.
Passion for brands.
A strong desire to develop Essity's Direct-to-Consumer business model.
Ability to lead strategic thinking and drive action for brand-building, sales and market share growth.
Background of working in international matrix organizations with the ability to network and coordinate effectively.
Ideally, with a previous background in sales/commercial roles.
Proven ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives that deliver business results.
Organizational leadership experience with the ability to coach a team.
Skilled communicator who influences and negotiates with great freedom on outcomes.
Willingness and ability to travel.
