WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of your time in our London office.

About this opportunity

We currently have a great opportunity for a hard-working and ambitious Director to join our Global Transaction Solutions (GTS) Product team. You'll support the commercialisation of cash management and payment solutions (CMP) for Corporate and Institutional Banking (CIB) clients.

CIB provides a diverse range of CMP solutions delivering market-leading products, services, and channels to highly sophisticated clients who demand a deep level of expertise from their CMP provider.

This senior role will require a deep understanding of the CIB business, its priorities and will work closely with a range of customers across CIB including Coverage, Sales, Product, Innovation, Platform Teams, Internal Communications, Marketing, and Group Corporate Affairs.

This role offers the opportunity to be at the heart of a Business Unit with bold growth plans where you'll be afforded a real insight into the external forces that are crafting this business and be part of a team that is prioritising our responses to this change.

Your accountabilities will include:

  1. Act as a senior source of professional expertise and play a key role in shaping and influencing the strategic direction and development of a complex portfolio of products that meets customer needs and provides competitive advantage that will deliver growth.
  2. Lead market analysis to review industry and economic information, market intelligence, customer/sector behaviour, emerging technology and regulatory requirements to identify trends tying in with client feedback to tailor innovative solutions that deliver client success.
  3. Support, and lead as appropriate, activities to manage cost drivers and product performance (KPIs). This will include pricing, sales and marketing strategies, ensuring that benefits in terms of customer satisfaction and financial targets are realised.
  4. Devise, own and implement initiatives to achieve continuous improvement to propositions and processes for the benefit of our customers.
  5. Develop compelling arguments to secure investment for the development and execution of the product plans.
  6. Build positive relationships with partners to manage their diverse needs and ensure the delivery of customer solutions. Support customer pipeline development with Coverage and Sales teams.
  7. Review, evaluate and manage risks and rectifications, to ensure adherence to the LBG risk framework and wider industry regulations.
  8. Represent the business at decision-making forums internally and externally.

What we'll need from you:

  1. Good market awareness of payments and cash management (clients, industries, products, innovation, technology, financial regulation) is crucial.
  2. Strong expertise in the Domestic and International payment systems.
  3. Solid understanding of Digital Channels (SWIFT, H2H, API).
  4. Proficiency in liquidity management tools including Pooling, Sweeping and Virtual Accounts (preferred).
  5. Detailed understanding of general banking practices and their impact on client requirements.
