Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a Reporting Automation Analyst for an initial 6-month contract to work on a hybrid basis, expected 1-2 days/week in the office. The role is open to office attendance in either Manchester or London per candidate preference.

Purpose of the Role:

This role is part of a major change initiative to automate the client's existing MI Reporting processes. The client will look to you to lead the implementation of their Surveillance MI & Reporting Strategy to automate and enhance their current reporting obligations to a high standard.

You'll support the operational effectiveness for surveillance controls and processes under the Surveillance Risk and Control Framework. You'll be seen as a subject matter expert for all things Reporting and Controls, as you help deliver risk management initiatives to support the application of the surveillance framework and risk obligations.

Responsibilities of the role:

You'll proactively drive forward our client's aim to automate their MI and Reporting within the department as well as look to enhance their current processes and reporting whilst working towards automation. You will also help support the Strategy, Change and Control Manager in managing the Risk and Control Framework within the department to ensure that all Risk, Issues and Actions are appropriately tracked, reviewed and reported on in a timely manner. In addition, you will help support the departments drive to onboard onto the Bank's Upstream Risk Platform as well as assisting the team with defining processes and alert reviews to support this adoption.

Throughout the course of your work, you'll need to collaborate with a range of stakeholders in order to build your network across the bank to allow you to drive forward the key deliverables noted above.

You'll also:

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for all things MI Reporting in the department.
  • Proactively develop and enhance processes and outputs for MI and Reporting.
  • Develop and sustain strong, productive relationships with key stakeholders to develop a good network to efficiently deliver the planned outcomes on time.
  • Support the Strategy, Change & Control Manager in managing the Risk Management Framework within the Department.
  • Help to manage the governance and management framework.

What we require from the candidate:

We're looking for a highly skilled individual with experience in data, MI and Reporting with a proven track record of delivering change and enhancements.

You'll also need:

  • Experience of delivering change in a Reporting environment.
  • A proactive nature to investigate and enhance things within your span of control.
  • General knowledge of how Risk Frameworks are managed within Financial Institutions.
  • Working Knowledge of Tableau (desirable).
