Job Description

I am recruiting on behalf of a surgery in Bedfordshire, MK45, who are looking for a salaried GP to join their team.

Salary: £10.5k - £11k per session - depending on experience
Hours: 6 sessions per week (negotiable)
Contract: Salaried GP with a view to partnership in the future (happy to provide support to GPs wishing to develop towards a partnership role)

About the candidate:
They are looking for someone who is innovative, driven, and will thrive as part of their team, in the ever-changing environment of General Practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a full range of primary care services, whilst ensuring the highest standards of care.

You will have the following qualifications:

  1. Fully qualified GP with GMC registration
  2. Annual appraisal and revalidation (when appropriate)
  3. Be on the NHSE medical performers list

  • Excellent care navigation team manage all GP correspondence thereby reducing the administrative workload for GPs
  • Appointments are 15 minutes long allowing you more time with each patient

About the Surgery:
Their team is made up of three GPs and two Salaried GPs supported by a dedicated team of one Nurse Practitioner, one Minor Illness Nurse, three Practice Nurses and one HCA. They have a strong ethos of teamwork. In order to support this, they have regular meetings where they welcome new ideas, as well as a yearly business meeting. They have a variety of areas of specialist interest and would be happy to support the successful candidate to be involved in, or lead, on a project of interest. These include: Minor Surgery/Injections/Sexual Health/Women Health (HRT/Menopause). They have a 'good' CQC rating as well as a high QoF achievement and have high levels of patient satisfaction.
