Job Description

Weare looking for 5sessions GP cover for provide maternity leave. Days are Tuesdaymorning and all day Wednesdays and Thursdays. The post will be fixed term for 9-12 months, starting inApril 2025. The post will work within a multidisciplinary team dealing with onthe day patient appointments,pre-booked and follow ups. This will be structuredaround BMS safe working guidelines, offering 15 minute appointments. We strive to offer a good work/life balance.

Main duties of the job

Clinical Responsibilities:

Undertakinga variety of duties including telephone triage, acute and routine appointments,both face to face and telephone consultations, and visiting patients at home (where appropriate) and duty doctor sessions(half days only). We are a training practice, with a mix of Foundationyear 2 doctors and GP registrars, but also supervision for Clinical Pharmacistand nursing team. You will allocated daily administration Docman, pathology, checking and signing repeatprescriptions/EPS and dealing with queries, and letters during allocated admintime.

Our Clinical team is made up of 6 GPPartners, a Salaried GP, Foundation Year 2 doctors, Clinical Pharmacist, Nurse,Registered Nurse Associate, HCA, Social Prescribers, Mental Health Practitionerand MIND workers. Our support team has Patient Service Coordinator,Administrative lead for QOF and recalls, and Secretarial team, Pharmacytechnicians and our valuable reception team.

Job responsibilities

Clinical Responsibilities:

Person Specification Qualifications
  • Fully qualified GP - registered with GMC
  • Ideally with at least 2 years experience of working in General practice.
Experience
  • Experience of working in General Practice, either as a salaried or Locum.
  • Ideally with at least 2 years experience of working in General practice.
