Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Salaried GP to join our Practicefor 4 to 5 sessions per week. We are seeking a GP to provide GP medicalservices but also to develop and work towards becoming a GP Clinical and Educational Supervisor to support our GP Partners with our array of GP Registrars.We are a highly successful well established training practice and we arekeen to welcome a new member to the team.

The role is on a 12 month fixed term basis with a view to extension.

Main duties of the job

To work as an autonomous practitioner adhering to GMC standards and be responsible for theprovision of medical services to the practice population, delivering anexcellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with our contractual obligations. The successful applicant will maintain a positive and collaborative working relationship with all roles within the practice.

The post holder will, once trained, provide Supervision to our GP Registrars, leading by example in the support for the GPs of the future.

Job responsibilities
  • The delivery ofhighly effective medical care to patients
  • Delivery to services in line with GMS Contract
  • Effectivemanagement of patients with long-term conditions and those requiring palliative care
  • Delivery ofadministration including referrals, investigations, repeatprescription requests and other associated administration
  • Maintain accurateclinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
  • Workcollaboratively with rest of team
  • Adhere to bestpractice and the audit process
  • Contribute to thesuccessful implementation of continuous improvement and quality initiativeswithin the practice
  • Action clinicalareas required for QOF
  • Attend andcontribute effectively to practice meetings as required.
  • Ensure compliancewith the appraisal process
  • Support the practice with statutory and regulatory compliance e.g CQC
