Brynmawr Medical Practice is a well-established surgery under new management, and we currently have a fantastic opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our close-knit team. You will work autonomously alongside our welcoming and supportive Nursing and Administration team.

Main duties of the jobYour responsibilities as a General Practitioner include the following core responsibilities. There may be an occasional requirement to carry out other tasks depending on factors such as workload and staffing levels:
- Perform clinical examinations of patients to assess, diagnose, and monitor conditions.
- Carry out patient consultations at home and within the surgery.
- Monitor patients' conditions and wellbeing.
- Carry out home visits where necessary.
- Diagnose and treat various illnesses/ailments.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, pharmacists, health visitors, and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams.
Opportunity to become involved with Enhanced Services such as:

- Substance Misuse Clinic
The practice is under new management; however, we aren't looking at making huge changes as we know that the surgery and the team are held in very high regard.
We are very family-focused and have been serving our community for many years.
The successful post-holder will manage a caseload and deal with a wide range of health needs in a primary care setting, ensuring the highest standards of care for all registered and temporary patients.
In accordance with the practice timetable, as agreed, the post-holder will make themselves available to undertake a variety of duties, including surgery consultations, telephone consultations and queries, visiting patients at home, checking and signing repeat prescriptions, and dealing with queries, paperwork, and correspondence in a timely fashion.

- Take part in practice management and administration.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals (e.g., midwives, pharmacists, health visitors, and psychiatrists) as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- Member of the GMC.
- Registered on Welsh Performers List.
- Experience of working in primary care.
