We are looking for a dynamic and caring GP to work in our well established and busy town centre Practice in the heart of Maidstone town centre.
Our vacancy is for a salaried GP with a potential for partnership.
The 4.5 sessions offered will take place across Thursdays and Fridays.
We pride ourselves on our friendly and 'family-like' approach to both our patient care and our colleagues.
We have a sizeable patient population of approximately 13,000 patients and pride ourselves on our continuity of care and wealth of clinical knowledge.
We currently boast a staff roster of 4 partners, 4 salaried GPs, an extensive nursing team as well as external services such as podiatry, midwife appointments and physiotherapy. Our admin team, including our GPAs and care Coordinators liase regularly with our mental health nurse, dementia coordinator and paramedic, ensuring that there is great support in place for our clinicians.
Our clinic and meet daily over a coffee in the morning to discuss clinical issues and offer support to each other.
Main duties of the jobWorking as an autonomous practitioner you will be responsible for the provision of medical services to your personal list of patients.
- You will deliver an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract, participate in enhanced services and the achievement of QoF targets.
- You will participate in the covering the duty doctor session on a rotational basis
- You will offer generic prescribing, adhering to local and national guidance
- Maintain accurate clinical records in conjunction with good practice, policy and guidance
- Work collaboratively with practice team and wider PCN team.
- Adhere to best practice recommended through clinical guidelines and the audit process
- Attend and contribute effectively to practice meetings as required
- Ensure compliance with the appraisal process
- Provide reports for employers, solicitors and insurance companies and complete medical certificates, benefit agency forms etc.
- Ensure that all work carried out which carries a private fee is properly recouped and accounted for.
- Prepare and complete the revalidation process
- Commit to self-learning and instil an ethos of continuing professional development across the practice team
- Support the training of medical students from all clinical disciplines
- Support the partners in achieving the strategic aims of the practice.

Job responsibilitiesWe are recruiting a responsible and self-reliant practitioner with a positive attitude to join our friendly team at The Vine Medical Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for the provision of medical services to the practice population, delivering an excellent standard of clinical care whilst complying with the GMS contract.
Furthermore, the post holder will adhere to the GMC standards for good medical practice, contributing to the effective management of the practice, leading by example, maintaining a positive, collaborative working relationship with the multidisciplinary team.
Person Specification Experience- National Performers List registration
