Salary: Up to £42,200 per annum

Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday to Friday, 8.00am -4.00pm

Contract: Permanent, Term Time only + 5 training days

Start date: February2025

About the role

Toprovide a high quality education service for our students inaccordance with Company policies, procedures and practices and thestandards set by the Regulatory Body.

Responsibilities

  • To plan, deliver and teach individual studentsor small groups, in accordance with the School's Curriculumframework and related policies

  • To monitor, record and report on studentprogress

  • To contribute toand help implement developments that relate to the SchoolDevelopment Plan

  • Topromote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educationaland moral development of the students

  • To contribute to the development andimplementation of an environment and programme of learning for theindividual student to ensure progression at an appropriate andsatisfactory rate

  • To takeresponsibility for coordinating the teaching, development,assessment, recording and reporting of subjects and areas oflearning across key stages as agreed with the HeadTeacher

  • To devise,implement and review individual education plans, individualbehaviour plans and other relevant individual plans in conjunctionwith other staff

  • Toorganise the classroom, its resources, student groupings anddisplays to provide a stimulating learning situation appropriatefor students

  • Adequatelyplan to ensure the safety of students, in line with riskassessments, while both on and off site To ensure LearningSupport Assistants/Tutors/Instructors and care staff (wherenecessary) are well briefed and able to produce appropriate andeffective resources/teaching aids Work with and managechallenging behaviour, enabling students to develop from needingexternal control, to developing self control To play a full partas a member of the School's multi-professional team, ensuringeffective working relationships withcolleagues

Qualifications Required

  • QTS

Essential

  • Experience of working withSEN

  • Teaching Science up toGCSE

  • Ability to teach anadditional subject e.g. IT
