Aspire People, a leading education recruitment agency, are seeking dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants to join our team, supporting specialist schools across the Shrewsbury area.Key Responsibilities: Work 1-2-1 and small group supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs (SEN), including ASD, MLD, SLD and behavioural difficulties. Assist in implementing individualised education plans (IEPs) and adapting teaching materials to meet the diverse needs of students. Support the classroom teacher in managing the classroom environment, including behaviour management and creating a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere. Assist students with personal care, mobility, and communication as required. Foster a supportive and encouraging environment to help students achieve their full potential.What We're Looking For: Previous experience working with children with special educational needs, ideally in an educational setting. A genuine passion for working with children and helping them succeed. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Patience, empathy, and resilience, with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and effectively. Relevant qualifications such as a Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or equivalent, are desirable but not essential.What We Offer: Competitive daily rates of pay.
