Job Description
SEND Administrator wanted in Lewisham, South London. £29,711 - £31,935 per annum. Horizon Teachers is currently working with an Ofsted rated Good' Secondary School in Lewisham, South London, who are looking for a SEND Administrator to join them on a permanent basis to start ASAP - interviews over the coming weeks.About the Role:
- The SEND Administrator will provide a comprehensive range of high-quality administrative support to the Assistant Principal (Inclusion)
- Goal is to be collaborative to ensure efficient operations of the SEND provision and Access Arrangements
- Successful SEND Administrators will manage procedures, records and systems for SEND admin maintaining a high standard of record keeping and ensuring statutory regulations are met
- Excellent ICT skills are required enabling use of wide range of programmes to deliver their responsibilities
- Successful SEND Administrators will provide information and support to staff and external agencies, supporting the provision for students with SEND
- Manage and develop procedures, records and systems for SEND admin
- Provide admin support and creating reports using a range of ICT programmes
- Operate and maintain effective system for filing of documents
- Coordinate and undertake general admin, including arrangements for the identification, assessment and provision for all SEND pupils
- Supporting SEDNCo in completing EHCP and EHCNA paperwork, and in organisation of exam access arrangements for pupils with additional needs
- Support transition and induction arrangements for Year 7 SEN Students
- Undertake other duties as direction by the Assistant Principal of Inclusion
- To supervise students working in the SEN area
- To maintain positive relationships and communication styles with parents, carers, students and teachers
- To be aware of and assume the appropriate level of responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and to report any concerns in accordance with the College's safeguarding policies
- To challenge and correct any behaviours that are not in accordance with College policy
- To be able to check and challenge incorrect uniform and adhere to the colleges behaviour policy, and to manage any behaviour concerns
- To provide accurate information for parents as directed by the College and department policy and to attend parents' evenings and other presentation meetings as directed
- To set and maintain the highest expectations of all students and to monitor student behaviour and engagement across subjects
