About The Role

Our Corporate Finance team focuses on our clients' strategic, operational, financial, and capital needs by addressing the full spectrum of financial and transactional tests faced by corporations, boards, private equity sponsors, creditor constituencies, and other stakeholders. Typical Restructuring team assignments include lead financial restructuring advisory; financial, operational, and commercial due diligence; business reviews; cash and working capital management; valuation; contingency planning and insolvency.

Within that context, we are currently seeking a talented and ambitious Senior Consultant to join our leading Restructuring team in London.

What You'll Do

Engagement delivery involving:

  • Assist in business reviews through investigating historical and future financial performance;
  • Preparing, testing, and reviewing business plans and financial models;
  • Undertaking variance/bridge analysis, identifying reasons for underperformance;
  • Develop a broad understanding of the full suite of offerings e.g., contingency planning and insolvency appointments;
  • Forming initial views and opinions on analyses, before sharing them with the case manager;
  • Communicating findings, including report writing and oral presentations;
  • Ability to build detailed three-statement financial models and have confidence in Excel modelling;
  • Confidence to interact with the finance function, question Management assumptions, and interrogate and diligence financial analysis.

Take a lead role in business development activities, such as:

  • On-the-job training to junior team members;
  • Starting to develop an external relationship network;
  • Preparation of formal pitches;
  • Contributing to thought leadership presentations and events.

What You Will Need to Succeed

  • Relevant experience in a Consulting firm
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in a numerate subject
  • ACA, ACCA, or equivalent (1st time passes)
