What you'll need to succeed

• Active Security Clearance
  
• Practitioner in either infrastructure or development, with skills across wide-ranging technologies, such as Windows/Linux operating systems, networking, programming/scripting languages, CI/CD and cloud technologies.
  
• Working level skills in using infrastructure as code techniques.
• Working level skills in a code-based automation (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Ansible, Puppet).
• Awareness of containers and orchestration techniques.
• Able to identify process optimisation opportunities with guidance and contribute to the implementation of proposed solutions.
• Has the ability to work with business and stakeholders to translate business problems into technical designs.
• Able to visualise the ideal user service, come up with design ideas and possible design approaches. Design systems are characterised by medium levels of risk, impact and business or technical complexity.
• Experience selecting appropriate design standards, methods and tools and ensures they are applied effectively.
• Experience reviewing specific system designs of others to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology.
• Able to co-ordinate build activities across systems and understand how to undertake and support integration testing activities.
• A senior DevOps engineer will have significant and varied professional experience in either infrastructure or application development, typically gained over 3 years or more.
