Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Electronics Design Engineer (f/m/x) to join our talented IoT hardware team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating complex electronic systems that integrate seamlessly into our products. This role requires a unique blend of skills in hardware design, embedded firmware, and PCB validation. You will work closely with various engineering disciplines to ensure high-quality, reliable products that meet industry standards.

Your Impact

Support the customer in their journey of transformation:

  • Support the customer in implementing our solution in their operational processes.
  • Constantly drive product adoption within the customer organization.
  • Jointly discuss improvements to our product to increase client value.

Expand KONUX product footprint and service scope at your customer:

  • Serve as product usage consultant to enable customer to operationalize KONUX solution into their process, therefore, create upselling opportunities.
  • Drive sales of our current product portfolio and of new solutions.
  • Become a KONUX product and client expert.
  • Provide customer feedback to our Product Team as guidance for product development.
  • Build trusted relationships with your customer counterparts, based on mutual respect and openness.
  • Manage contracts, e.g., adaptations, extensions.

Successfully manage and deliver complex roll-out projects and Service Delivery at customer organizations:

  • Prepare the delivery phase by managing dependencies and coordinating with all relevant KONUX departments.
  • Plan and manage the deployment/roll-out as well as service delivery phase jointly with the KONUX Ops team and your customer counterpart.
  • Anticipate risk exposure, ensure that risks are properly communicated and documented, define mitigation strategies, and work with the customer to ensure the mutually agreed-upon action plan.
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have
  • An in-depth understanding of electronics engineering principles, including advanced circuit theory, high-speed signal processing, RF and EMC considerations.
  • Proficiency with electronics design tools and software such as Altium Designer, and experience with advanced simulation techniques.
  • Experience writing embedded firmware, ideally in C/C++, with knowledge of microcontrollers and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
  • Strong skills in electronic testing methodologies, failure analysis, and an understanding of industry best practices for product reliability.
  • A solid grasp of relevant safety standards and regulatory requirements for electronic products.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Nice to have
  • Experience with IoT device integration and low-power design.
  • Experience with Zephyr RTOS.
  • Familiarity with FPGA/CPLD design and VHDL/Verilog programming.
  • Knowledge of safety and compliance standards within the railway industry.
  • Familiarity with project management and agile methodologies.
