Senior Frontend Engineer - Up to 80k - Remote First* - Automotive SaaS

ECOM have teamed up with a tech company that build products for the automotive industry in a truly unique way, and they are looking for a Senior Frontend Engineer to craft stunning user experiences and bring a higher level of engineering practises to an already highly performing team.

Our client is renowned for its groundbreaking software delivery engine and commitment to high engineering standards. Their product simplifies vehicle purchasing and revolutionises automotive financing. They're now expanding their market leading UK products globally, setting new industry standards.

The Role:
As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you'll collaborate closely with other Front End developers and be a mentor to more junior developers that are eager to learn. Together, you and the team will craft micro Front End applications that redefine automotive commerce. Your expertise in the Front End will drive technical excellence and innovation across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead technical aspects of Front End development projects, collaborating with Front End/Back End engineers, Product teams, QA and commercial when required.
  • Scope project requirements, conduct technical workshops, and produce specifications.
  • Drive software craftsmanship and maintain high engineering standards.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in Front End development, with proficiency in Angular.
  • Previous exposure to automated testing, TDD, and continuous delivery practices.
  • Proven track record of deploying multiple times a day in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent ability with HTML, CSS, vanilla Javascript and Typescript.
  • Proficiency with web browser APIs and HTTP.
  • Logical engineer who keenly avoids over-engineering solutions.
  • Holds high quality code in a delivery focused setting.
  • Experience developing shared code libraries (NPM packages).
  • Experience with automated testing frameworks (Jest, Karma, Cypress, or Protractor)
  • Competency with CI/CD pipeline to release software safely and effectively.

2 Stage Interview Process (with no tech task)
1st stage - 1 hour conversation to understand how well the opportunity aligns to both yourself and the company

2nd stage - Paired programming exercise geared up to be as close to reality as possible to uncover deeper knowledge of software engineering, architecture, TDD etc
