Job Description
Venesky-Brown's client, a public sector organisation in Glasgow, is currently looking to recruit a Senior Information Governance Advisor for an initial 4 month contract on a rate of £300-£350/day (Outside IR35). This role will be based in Glasgow.
Responsibilities:
- Providing subject matter expertise for the organisation and ALEOs on records management.
- Providing subject matter expertise for the organisation on EDRMS matters.
- Providing subject matter expertise for the organisation on M365 IM functionality.
- Leading on information management project delivery
- Providing information management subject matter expertise to the Information Advisory Board
- Providing information management subject matter expertise to the Information Asset Board
- Providing support to the Information Security and Integrity Board and Extended Information Security Board as a representative of the Training & Communications Sub-group.
- Providing subject matter expertise to the Records Management Sub-group of the Information Advisory Board.
- Providing subject matter expertise to the EDRMS Operations Sub-group of the Information Asset Board.
- Representing the organisation at the Information and Records Management Society
- Representing the organisation on the EDRMS Multi Authority Group
- Managing the maintenance of the Records Retention and Disposal Schedule, Information Asset Register, Publication Scheme Guide to Information, Information Management Connect pages and other information management documentation.
- Developing Records Management Training material.
- Deputising for the Governance Manager Information as required.
Essential Skills:
- Managing projects
- Leading teams
- Representing the Service or Department
- Clear and concise ability to explain matters using oral skills.
- Written communication skills encompassing plan creation, report writing, minutes, policies, procedures, briefings and directives.
- Competent in use of Microsoft Applications including Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Competent in use of the Electronic Document and Records Management System
- Statistics collation and analysis
- Excellent understanding of information management principles
- Ability to work alone or as part of a team.
- Resilient and determined.
- A flexible approach to the needs of the department
