Job Description
Senior Investment Manager

We are seeking highly motivated individuals with a passion for finance and a hunger for success to join our Investment team on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful applicant will already have an in-depth working knowledge of markets, security selection, portfolio construction and risk management. The role will also involve working closely with stakeholders across the business, leading multiple strategic projects and assisting with investment integration, all of which will necessitate communicating in a succinct and impactful way.

The successful applicant will:

  • have a minimum 10 years' investment experience
  • have a strong understanding of financial markets
  • be qualified to a minimum of Level 4 (e.g. CFA or equivalent qualifications)
  • possess multi-asset experience across public and private markets (equities, fixed income and alternatives, derivatives)
  • be familiar with different vehicle structures such as funds and separately managed accounts
  • have knowledge of relevant regulations and impact on client types and investment strategies
  • be an excellent communicator, capable of articulating complex problems in a simplistic manner with multiple audiences
  • have an inclination for process design
  • be able to handle various projects simultaneously
  • be detail and outcome orientated and drive solutions-based proposals

It will also be advantageous to:

  • possess knowledge of Bloomberg or Refinitiv and Morningstar Direct
  • be qualified with Level 7 or relevant professional qualification (e.g. CFA or equivalent qualifications)

MORE ABOUT THE ROLE:

Reporting directly to the Managing Director - Client Investment Solutions, the successful applicant will be a senior member of the Asset Management Team, who will oversee the fund research capability as well as contribute to the management of the internally managed investment solutions.

The day-to-day responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • strongly contribute to the manager/security selection research function
  • assist the MD-CIS in the management of assets within multi-asset funds and models
  • make contribution towards overall tactical asset allocation of the multi-asset funds and portfolios
  • decide on appropriate instruments/implementation and portfolio construction, and ensure investments are made in line with the investment guidelines/restrictions of each mandate
  • help to ensure that the appropriate products and solutions are made accessible to the consultants
  • work closely with Investment Integration & Client Reporting Team with regards to supporting client calls and communications, as a subject matter authority on whole portfolio solution and specific implementation plans
  • in partnership with both the MD-CIS and the Investment Integration & Client Reporting Team, help to understand the day to day working practices of recently acquired businesses; and to help gain their support and trust as they embark on transitioning across
  • contribute to sales and relationship management, supporting distribution efforts
  • drive sustainability, innovation and strategy initiatives
  • participate in relevant Committees within the firm
  • responsible of direct reports within the team
