About your team:

Fidelity International in Austria is responsible for client relationships and sales to Austrian and Central Eastern European clients. Our clients include the full range of B2B clients, from large institutional clients to banks, insurance companies, private banks, asset managers, and independent financial advisors.

At Fidelity International's Vienna, Budapest, and Warsaw offices, we have a team of 7 Sales staff covering the Wholesale and Institutional Business in Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Hungary with more than US$ 6.2bn AUM (as per 30 June 2024). The Sales team is supported by a Senior Marketing Manager based in Vienna to develop, budget, and implement all local marketing activities based on an agreed plan that reflects the centrally agreed priorities and locally relevant customer needs in core target segments, in collaboration with a Marketing Manager.

About your role:

To support the growth of Fidelity International's business in Austria and Central Eastern Europe, the Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the implementation of a local marketing strategy and a marketing plan according to the local business strategy. Furthermore, the Senior Marketing Manager coordinates and implements local marketing campaigns to promote Fidelity's products/programs to relevant target groups. The Senior Marketing Manager also ensures that the brand is rolled out in an appropriate way adhering to our values and brand guidelines at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement the marketing plan for Austria and Central Eastern Europe with a quarterly review and adaptation of plans to be agreed with the Business Head and the Head of Marketing - Switzerland & Austria & Central Eastern Europe.
  • Develop positioning and promotional strategies for relevant customer needs and requirements together with the Sales team based on analytics and customer feedback.
  • Support partnerships with key clients to develop joint marketing and distribution models and plans.
  • Develop a communication plan to wholesale/institutional clients through the appropriate marketing mix (conferences, seminars, roadshows, newsletters, social media, etc.). Set goals for the marketing plan and single activities and measure success according to defined KPIs.
  • Coordination and maintenance of the local websites.
  • Use centrally available market and product analytics as well as local competitive information and reports to provide leadership to the Sales Team and base marketing activities on sound ground.
  • Elaborate and control the spend against marketing budgets.
  • Handle all aspects of our communication strategy, liaising closely with the Head of Corporate Communications.
  • Collaborate closely with the Central Region Marketing Team and Head of Marketing - Switzerland, Austria & Central Eastern Europe to use synergies.
  • Manage and brief external agencies regarding Marketing and Corporate Communications if appropriate and in close cooperation with the Head of Marketing - Switzerland, Austria & Central Eastern Europe and the Head of Corporate Communications.
  • Organise and manage client events on the ground (trade fairs, roadshows, Christmas event, etc.).

About you:

  • Higher education in economics and/or finance/marketing.
  • 5-7 years' experience in a marketing and communications role in an international corporation, preferably in the financial industry.
  • A very good vision of online marketing and web communication.
  • A combination of strategic skills with proactive execution skills and the ability to make things happen.
  • Fluent German and English with outstanding communication skills; Hungarian/Polish/Czech are a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to effectively interact with different teams across the business.
  • Flexibility, proactivity, and capacity to evolve in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work in a matrix organisation.
