Senior Product Manager

As a Product Manager, you will lead a cross-functional squad to develop our product portfolio, build on our existing products and create new solutions for the legal profession.
Working closely with Product Design, Product Marketing and Engineering, you will gather knowledge across the business, develop a deep understanding of our users and customers, track industry trends and competitive landscape to create a user-centred roadmap that will drive business metrics and lead your cross-functional team to execute against it. You will be balancing user needs, business goals and tech feasibility for your product.
You will also be responsible for working cross-functionally at all levels, gathering different views and sharing the context of the various constraints and solutions to explore.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:- Develop a winning strategy for your defined area. Identify problems, work through solutions that are valuable, viable, usable and feasible
- You will be responsible for the commercial success of our product lines, the near term, and far-term go-to-market
- You will set the ambition through clear communication, appropriate context, and create guardrails for the team to operate within
- You will engage with customers closely to understand their needs, appreciate their challenges, their jobs-to-be done, recognise the differences across segments, and shape a roadmap that serves the customer and creates a coherent view of our future direction
- Ensure the smooth running of a dual track process, running a discovery track with a cross-functional team and delivering it through a development team
- Undertake analysis of existing ways of working, systems and ensure that we identify solutions that also consider our internal needs
- Coordinate closely with Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure that everyone is aligned on the purpose, the value created, and how we create the value and work closely with Technology to ensure we can bring the plans to market in a timely way
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of discovery and knows how to get things done quickly and to a high quality
- Strong product delivery experience, ideally with a strong knowledge of web development
- Displayed commercial and market understanding
- Is an adaptable, fast learner with an appetite to take responsibility and drive success
- Excellent communication skills across multiple formats - an active listener and the importance of providing context
- Capable of establishing trust with Senior Leadership, Commercial and Technology teams
- Are able to challenge the status quo to drive goals and outcomes, staying focused on the big picture while attending to the details
- Act quickly and flexibly: you are able to change methods when needed
- Are a good facilitator. You use facilitation techniques to gather different points of view and requirements, collaboratively ideate and create alignment
- Are self-aware: you work humbly and kindly, and you aren't afraid to make mistakes and learn from the
- Are strong at prioritisation: You can juggle multiple priorities from discovery, delivery, tactical and strategic initiatives and prioritise what is most important to your product and the business
- Work in the open. You are happy to have those around you to feed into your work and you share any findings or learnings that you have within the team and across departments
- Lead by example, but also know how and when to involve colleagues to mutually support each other. You are always looking to improve yourself and to lift up others around you
