Senior Product Owner - Data & Analytics (Contract)

Are you an experienced Product Owner with a passion for data and analytics? We are seeking a Senior Product Owner to join our team on a hybrid basis to drive the success of a high-impact project. This role is ideal for a professional who thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing complex requirements and agile methodologies to deliver outstanding results.

Role Overview:

As the Senior Product Owner, you will be accountable for defining and maintaining the product backlog, gathering and refining requirements, and ensuring our Data & Analytics Development Team is well-equipped to deliver high-quality solutions. This role demands excellent communication skills, as you will be liaising between technical teams and stakeholders to ensure project goals align with business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the product backlog, ensuring epics and features meet ready criteria and are prioritized for efficient development.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, BI architects, and stakeholders to gather requirements, transforming these into actionable user stories.
  • Maintain a continuous flow of work for development teams, ensuring consistency and alignment with the overall project roadmap.
  • Facilitate regular refinement sessions and ensure all features meet quality standards, including acceptance criteria and INVEST principles.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing technical questions and resolving scope and prioritization issues.
  • Identify risks and manage dependencies across teams, maintaining alignment with project milestones.

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a Senior Product Owner (3+ years), ideally in a data and analytics environment.
  • Strong background in agile methodologies, backlog development, and stakeholder management.
  • Excellent skills in translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in managing complex data and analytics products, ideally using the Azure tech stack.
  • Ability to balance multiple demands, prioritize effectively, and maintain the product backlog to a high standard.
  • Demonstrated ability to assess and improve product processes for optimal development flow.

Location:
Hybrid working model with two days per week in our London office.

Contract Details:

  • Full-time (5 days per week), initially for 12 months with a potential extension.
