We are looking for an immediate, full-time, permanent position in EMEA at London, United Kingdom.

Job Purpose:

  • Develop and align Group property risk engineering & sustainability standards covering all critical sites across all Divisions worldwide.
  • Provides technical assistance and guidance to key stakeholders on property risk engineering & sustainability standards.
  • Develops and delivers training/advice on sustainability standards and other property risk engineering related topics.
  • Manage the delivery and execution of field engineering services, communication and close out of recommendations in line with Group standards.

Your tasks:

Property Risk Engineering Standards and Guidelines:

  • Manage the continuous development and improvement of group-wide Property Risk Standards.
  • Manage the development and continuous improvement of group standards, policies, and guidance documents addressing risks associated with climate change focusing particularly on property risks driven by the company's sustainability and go-green programs to meet our climate change goals (e.g., PV Panels, EV Fleet, EV Batteries etc).
  • Effectively communicate Group standards and guidance documents across the organization, ensuring that key stakeholders are equipped to address property resilience and climate risks within their property portfolios and projects.

Property Risk Construction Guidance:

  • Advises Corporate Real Estate and Real Estate Solution on best practice and Group standards relating to property risk engineering for new builds, renovations, and expansion projects.
  • Monitors construction progress throughout the project lifecycle to ensure adoption of best practice/Group standards risk management advice and adherence to Group standards - escalates deviations in line with established processes.

Global Property Risk Site Visit Program:

  • Collaborate with property insurer and external risk engineers in conducting technical site visits. Support risk improvement initiatives as required.
  • Review, validate and prioritize property risk improvement actions. Follow up, monitor progress and report implementation escalating deviations when needed.
  • Deliver management and progress reports.

General

Develops and maintains an excellent working knowledge of the Group and the IRM service portfolio and value proposition, knowledge of Divisional strategies, organisational structures and IRM interfaces including interacting at board & senior management levels.

Maintains knowledge of property risk engineering industry trends and developments with a focus on ensuring resilience, sustainability and future insurability of Group property and assets.

  • Execute other Property Risk Engineering projects or tasks assigned to support the property resilience program.

Your profile:

  • 8+ years Property Risk Engineering consulting and strategy within a global multinational insurance company, broker or in-house risk function.
  • Good knowledge of FM Global property risk standards.
  • Fluency in English
  • Proficiency in German desirable.
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and communicational skill with international teams.
  • Strong communicator, solution orientated with strong customer focus.
  • Excellent presentation skills with an ability to convey technical content to a non-technical audience.
  • Strong negotiating skills, assertiveness, and stakeholder management.
  • University degree in engineering, risk management, fire science or related fields.
