We find a roof over everyone's head - from offices to laboratories to industrial sites, we look after our sites worldwide in the Global Real Estate department. We are responsible for BASF's real estate management and ensure optimal use of the portfolio with our real estate services. Real estate initiatives as well as the purchase and sale of real estate are part of our work.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Global real estate department is the main maintainer of BASF's real estate portfolio data. With over 1500 sites and 12,000 buildings the management of the real estate information in SAP RE-FX is a critical business operation on which many BASF systems depend on. As part of NGBA project, we need to transition real estate information across multiple SAP systems (EC, AP, BM, others) in a coordinated manner.

In our Unit we coordinate the design, testing, training, data migration and go-live cut-over activities from the perspective of the real estate team, in collaboration with the roll-out project team and project partners.

  • You are responsible for coordinating with NGBA project team and real estate counterparts as well as other affected stakeholders within BASF, e.g. you take part in selected meetings of stakeholders and represent GB Real Estate.
  • You identify challenges from the NGBA program and analyse the impact on GB Real Estate operations.
  • The preparation of regular status reports and presentations for both NGBA GB and GB real estate organization belongs to your tasks.
  • You monitor the project progress and identify potential risks and issues.
  • You understand requirements, distill them into actionable items and involve the necessary colleagues from real estate or other BASF departments to provide you solutions or expertise in order to take decisions effectively.
  • You plan the tasks of the necessary stakeholders, and continuously monitor the execution of those tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in Business Administration or a comparable engineering field
  • exceptional planning and coordination skills
  • strong communication and presentation skills in English
  • ability to effectively manage multiple, concurrent projects as well as challenge requirements and drive simplification
  • proficiency in MS Office and SAP (knowledge of SAP RE-FX is ideal)
  • ideally SQL knowledge and experience with PowerBI
