Job Description

6 months initially - Maternity Cover Contract

Remote role but there is a requirement to travel into London approximately 3 times over the course of the project.

We're looking for a skilled UX Designer to join an exciting project that's already well underway - with 60% of the groundwork completed, you'll be walking into a well-defined role where you can make an immediate impact. This position is focused on completing the final 40% with high-quality, user-centered designs.

Key Responsibilities:

User-Focused Design:

  • Apply strong UX research and Figma prototyping skills to build user-centric design solutions.
  • Use established processes to understand customer needs and design options, crafting adaptable UI design patterns that resonate with users.
  • Stay updated on market trends and competitor insights to inform your design choices.
  • Drive user research initiatives to validate designs and uncover deeper insights into user needs.

Creative Problem-Solving:

  • Approach problems from multiple angles, using research and testing to verify solutions effectively.
  • Collaborate proactively with product, technology, and stakeholders to generate and refine creative ideas.

Product Design and Mentorship:

  • Lead the creation of wireframes, prototypes, design concepts, and style guides using Figma.
  • Guide product and technology teams in understanding and applying the user-centered design process.
  • Ensure adherence to design principles and style guides, while contributing to the design system when necessary.

Technical and Analytical Skills:

  • Expert-level Figma skills are essential, as well as a solid grasp of data analysis and research methods.
  • Use data from analytics, insights, and other sources to back design decisions and identify information gaps where data is lacking.

Requirements:

  • 6-9 years of relevant UX/UI design experience.
  • Expertise in Figma prototyping and UX research is crucial.
