The in-house operation

The IT department is responsible for and shapes the entire IT of the City of Munich. We ensure that IT provision meets the city's current and future needs. As part of the IT department, we ensure a modern IT and telecommunications infrastructure, implement professional IT solutions and secure the City of Munich's IT operations with over 1,200 employees in our own company

What you can expect

As a service employee in the Central TC Management & Services service team, you will be responsible for the provision, operation, further development and optimization of the central telephone systems and the associated technologies for the contact center, including service telephones and hotlines, conference systems, voice mailboxes, IVR and alarm systems.

You will support the project team and help shape future services by actively participating in the comprehensive migration of existing telecommunications systems to VoIP, site conversions, the implementation of new operating processes and requirements concepts, processes and consulting as well as customer training. You will act as an interface and first point of contact for external service providers and coordinate and organize the teams on site.

You have

• a successfully completed university degree in the field of computer science, administrative informatics or business informatics or
• a successfully completed university degree or equivalent skills and experience in the IT field
  and
• Many years (at least 3 years) of professional experience in the IT sector

In particular, you bring with you

• Specialist knowledge in the design and operation of communication technology infrastructures (such as VoIP / UCC systems, voicemail, IVR, call centers)
• Many years (at least 3 years) of professional experience in administration and troubleshooting in large networks and optimization in terms of quality of service (QoS), performance and stability
• Several years (at least 2 years) of professional experience and significant involvement in large IT projects in the role(s) of sub-project manager or technical expert
• Stress tolerance
• Communication skills, especially the ability to deal with conflict

The following are an advantage

• Certifications in the areas of "Cisco Enterprise Networking", "Network Design" at CCNP level and/or Unify OpenSpace 4000, e.g. Certificated Implementation & Support Expert
• Project management according to IPMA Standard Level D or C
• Many years (at least 3 years) of professional experience in designing and setting up large telecommunications systems based on enterprise architectures and devices (e.g. Unify, Cisco)
