Job Description

A thriving independent small animal practice is seeking a Veterinary Surgeon to join their dynamic team in a vibrant town situated in the northwestern part of London. With a strong commitment to excellence, they have made substantial investments to offer digital radiography, top-notch ultrasound conducted by a postgraduate certificate holder in diagnostic imaging, as well as anaesthetic and blood pressure monitoring equipment. The surgical and consulting facilities are designed to provide a comfortable and efficient environment for both patients and pet owners. Additionally, they offer full IDEXX laboratory facilities.

You will have the opportunity to become a valued member of a warm and skilled team, which currently consists of two Veterinary Surgeons, one of whom holds a certificate in Small Animal Surgery and specialises in soft tissue procedures. Additionally, they have two Registered Veterinary Nurses and two dedicated receptionists who ensure the practice runs smoothly and efficiently.

This position is ideal for a Veterinary Surgeon who possesses exceptional communication and relationship-building skills. They highly value candidates with 1-2 years of experience in small animal general practice, particularly those who are confident in performing routine soft tissue surgeries. Strong interpersonal abilities and the capacity to establish rapport with clients and colleagues are essential for success in this role.

The Rota:

  1. Permanent position
  2. Flexibility on hours could be 2/3/4 days could be 5 shorter days for school hours
  3. Saturdays on a rota 1:4 can be flexible (9am-12pm)
  4. No OOH
  5. No On-call
  6. No Bank holidays
