The Software-defined Vehicle Team designs the next generation of onboard software infrastructure, which is one key enabler for the Software-defined Vehicle. Software-defined Vehicle means a transformation where the physical and digital components are decoupled, and features and functionality are defined through software.

The team provides technology as well as methodologies which enable and drive this transformation based on open standards.

What awaits you?

  • You coordinate and implement architecture concepts for the next generation software platform for advanced driving assistance systems, driving dynamics systems and body functions and supplement them with specific requirements of the development team.
  • You evaluate, track and contribute to open-source projects which are used in context of the platform.
  • You create, verify, and coordinate risk analysis and requirement specifications for the software architecture, as well as perform risk assessments and vulnerability analyses.
  • You are responsible for architecture solutions in series development towards internal software development teams and suppliers.
  • In addition, you define acceptance criteria for architecture solutions in software and vehicle integration and evaluate these criteria.
  • You are responsible for requirements engineering, tracing of the specification's compliance with respect to architecture demands.
  • Within an ECU project, you are responsible for the features integrated into various operating systems such as QNX, Linux, and AUTOSAR and represent them to the managers of the E/E and hardware/software system architecture and in relevant committees.
  • The architecture development takes place in close coordination with the affected development teams and the E/E architecture offices.

What should you bring along?

  • University degree in electrical engineering, computer science or a comparable qualification.
  • In-depth professional experience in the field of embedded ECUs system architecture with power and automotive controllers as well as in modern ARM-based SoC architectures.
  • Experience in the development of safety or cybersecurity relevant systems according to ISO26262 or ISO/SAE21434.
  • Experience in embedded software development as well as in the field of hardware and software architecture of Software systems in serial use under QNX, Linux and Android.
  • Understanding of computing, onboard software, and hardware infrastructure with technical knowledge to be credible with customers and engineers.
  • Business-fluent German and English.
