Solution Architect - Hybrid

We are seeking an experienced Contract Solution Architect with a strong background in reinsurance and accounting to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable, secure, and robust solutions that align with our business needs, while ensuring seamless integration between reinsurance systems and accounting platforms. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of reinsurance processes and London market standards, as well as a solid grasp of accounting principles and financial systems.

Reinsurance experience:

• Leverage your expertise in reinsurance processes, including treaty and facultative reinsurance, claims processing, and risk assessment.
• Ensure smooth data flow between reinsurance systems and enterprise systems such as policy administration and claims management platforms.
• Utilize experience with reinsurance software solutions and platforms to optimize system functionality.
• Understand the London Market, including LORs (London Market Reinsurance Messaging Services) to ensure effective messaging and data exchange within reinsurance processes.

Accounting Experience (Desirable):

• Apply knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements to design financial system integrations.
• Ensure seamless data flow between sub-ledger systems and the general ledger, as well as other financial modules.
• Collaborate on the development and enhancement of financial reporting systems to meet evolving business needs.

General responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and document scalable, robust, and secure solutions that meet business and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to translate business needs into detailed technical specifications.
• Work closely with project managers, developers, and IT teams to ensure alignment and successful project delivery.
• Adhere to architectural standards and best practices, particularly those set by the organization.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership to development teams.
• Optimize solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability, performing performance testing and tuning as necessary.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of architecture and design decisions.
• Communicate complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Skills required:

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect, with a focus on reinsurance and accounting systems.
• Strong understanding of reinsurance processes (treaty, facultative, claims, risk).
• Familiarity with reinsurance software and the London Market, including LORs.
• Solid background in accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience designing and integrating financial systems, ensuring seamless data flow across ledgers and modules.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with security and compliance in regulated industries.
