About the Team

Firebolt's Field team is responsible for ensuring that customers and prospects achieve value with Firebolt's product. The team spans both pre-sales and post-sales, and consists of Customer Success Managers, Support Engineers and Solutions Architects.

About the Role

Solutions Architects own the technical evaluation process for Firebolt's customers and prospects. You will help prospects understand Firebolt's value proposition for their use cases, provide guidance around product best practices, and execute critical product tests in collaboration with technical stakeholders. We're looking for an experienced data guru with broad, customer-facing experience in the data ecosystem to help our prospects and customers unleash Firebolt's potential smoothly and quickly.

What you'll do
  1. Lead POCs through requirement gathering and hands-on Firebolt implementation.
  2. Ensure customers implement and use Firebolt according to best practices and unleash its full potential, both in pre and post-sale engagements.
  3. Become Firebolt's platform expert and work closely with Product and Engineering to turn customer challenges into features and solutions.
  4. Present Firebolt's platform and benefits to prospective customers and partners.
  5. Work closely with the rest of the account team to help customers and prospects succeed with their Firebolt use cases.
REQUIREMENTS
  1. 3+ years of experience in pre or post-sale activities for a software vendor (e.g. sales engineer, solutions engineer, solutions architect, etc)
  2. 3+ years of hands-on experience with database/data warehouse implementations in cloud environments
  3. Deep understanding of the data and analytics space
  4. Fluent in SQL
  5. Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts
  6. Hands-on experience with analytic use cases, ETL workflows, and BI tools
  7. Rich hands-on experience with the AWS ecosystem
  8. Great communication skills and the ability to transfer knowledge effectively to prospects/customers
  9. Ability to work with business and technical audiences and lead business requirement meetings, technical white boarding exercises, and SQL coding/debugging sessions
