About our Team

You will join a collaborative and inclusive team that works together to create solutions to business problems and ideas. We work closely with squads, product managers, and colleagues in user design to develop architectural solutions that the squads will follow during development.

About the Role

As a Solutions Architect, you will create solutions to business problems and ideas, working with squads, product managers, and colleagues in user design to come up with architectural solutions. This role requires collaboration, negotiation, merging ideas, and influencing.

Responsibilities

  1. Evaluate new technologies and their applicability to the business.
  2. Lead teams toward problem-resolution, identifying, researching, and coordinating resources to effectively troubleshoot and diagnose complex project issues.
  3. Translate findings into alternatives into solutions, identifying risks and impacts to facilitate management decision-making.
  4. Act as a conduit between Global Architecture (Enterprise Architects) and the Engineering or Development teams.
  5. Guide technical direction and architecture evolution via reviews and on-floor leadership.
  6. Monitor system health and design and write proposals to remedy the cause of negative trends.
  7. Research industry advancements and building alliances to explore ways to leverage and advance our technical opportunities.

Requirements

  1. Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Parallel and Distributed Processing Systems, Information Retrieval, Data Mining, Natural Language Processing, Very Large Scale Databases, Declarative Languages, and High-Performance Computing.
  2. Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey information clearly to a wide audience.
  3. Excellent understanding of programming languages, code, database technologies, and/or data management.
  4. Working knowledge in two or more of the following areas: Network Design (LAN and WAN), Storage System Architectures, Service-Oriented Architecture technologies, JSON, and Parallel Processing Architectures (such as SMP and NUMA).
  5. Organization/project planning, time management, and change management skills across multiple functional groups and departments, with excellent delegation skills.
  6. Natural problem solver, able to take a lead in collaborating to resolve issues.
  7. Excellent communication and presentation skills applicable to a wide audience including senior and executive management, customers, etc.
