SQL Data Analyst

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a SQL Data Analyst for a 6 month contract based in Edinburgh.

Purpose of the Role:

This key role will see you leading the build and delivery of price insight function. You'll be leading insights creation with Laser focus on generating value for optimised pricing decisions, while also communicating output summaries to help further enhancement of pricing optimiser and engagement with the business.

Responsibilities of the role:

As a SQL Data Analyst you will be responsible for:

• Quickly review, consolidate, cleanse, and reconcile large quantities of disparate data to identify any issues and prioritise project requirement
• Uncover and interpret trends from business data and other available data sources
• Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with key stakeholders across the business, regardless of seniority or technical understanding
• Support the development of a data-centric culture by providing support, guidance, and training
• Coach and develop team members contributing to the teams dynamic learning environment and culture
• Contribute to and lead the continuous improvement of analytic best practices and frameworks
• Deliver work to high standards within a fast-moving agile environment

What we require from the candidate:

• Extensive Data Analytics Experience
• SQL/Snowflake/Hadoop Experience
• Data Visualisation/dashboarding skills (Tableau or Thoughtspot)
• Experience of marketing analytics
