Job Summary

To provide high-quality care to all patients. To assist in directing staff in the support of the care of our patients.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care.
  • Perform complete, detailed, and accurate health histories, review patient records, develop comprehensive medical assessments, and order laboratory, radiological and diagnostic studies appropriate for complaint and condition of the patient.
  • Ensure all charts are filled out and medical records are completed in a timely fashion.
  • Interpret and analyze patient data to determine patient status, patient management and treatment.
  • Institute emergency measures and emergency treatment or appropriate stabilization measures in situations such as cardiac arrest, shock, hemorrhage, convulsions, poisoning, and allergic reactions.
  • Process biological specimens when needed.
  • Analyze and interpret lab studies and reports.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible - Emergency Room, Family Practice, or Internal Medicine (w/ER or UC experience).
  • Excellent communicator with staff, patients, and family.
  • Confident in suturing, splinting, minor office procedures, x-ray reads, treating all ages.
  • Professional appearance and attitude.
  • DOT Certification, preferred. If not DOT-certified, applicant willing to become DOT certified (employer will pay for training).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
  • Active and current medical licensure in the state of practice, DEA number, and state-controlled substance certificate, as required.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently.
