Surveyor - Associate Director and Associate, Real Estate / London Reference Number: Surveyor - Associate Director & Associate Location: London, England

Our Client's newly restructured Residential Capital Markets team is looking to hire a Surveyor at Associate Director & Associate level to look after RCM projects in the UK and Europe. Service lines cover transactions, financing, valuation, and consultancy and the opportunity exists to gain experience in all disciplines.

The team is currently approximately 40 professionals; however, there are ambitions to grow this significantly. This role provides the opportunity to get in at the beginning and be part of a growing market-leading team.

Primary Objectives
  • Supporting more senior members of the team in delivering exceptional client service.
  • Perform in-depth analysis of UK and European markets.
  • Build and manipulate DCF models.
  • Strong attention to detail and confidence in formulating presentation and report writing skills.
  • Ability to research, analyze, and present complex financial data.
  • Be presentable and considered in all interactions with clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a transactional or project team.
  • Highly motivated to develop a career within real estate capital markets; those with an entrepreneurial mindset will be well suited.

  • Clients include developers, investors, lenders, and operators.

Person Specification
  • Excellent Academics
  • Degree/Masters Degree Educated, desired subjects: Economics, Finance, Property (2:1 minimum)
  • Strong analytical skills - both quantitative and qualitative
  • Professional Qualifications (not a necessity, can provide on the job) - MRICS, CFA, ACA
  • Languages advantageous: German, French, Spanish in particular
  • Ideally have demonstrable experience in real estate private equity, real estate investment, or real estate investment banking
  • Pricing, valuing, and modeling a range of residential assets across the UK, both income-producing assets and development projects
  • Advising on the most appropriate development or investment strategy for assets
  • Supporting the current Director leading the RCM consultancy service
  • Working directly with clients to service their needs and meeting them regularly
  • Carrying out comprehensive property, market, and legal due diligence inquiries
  • Managing and mentoring more junior staff, reporting to clients and senior colleagues
  • Business development from international and local clients
