Job Description
What's involved with this role: Interim Surveyor - Property Services Reference no: ATR Key Requirements:
- Ideally, you will have a relevant technical (HNC or higher) qualification in Building, Surveying, planning in a similar technical field.
- 6 years plus of experience within this sector.
- Strong working knowledge of project management techniques and be comfortable supervising multi-trade contracts from initial offer to closure.
- Experience in undertaking domestic and commercial building surveys and providing advice on matters such as construction defects and disrepair is key to this role.
- Experience and good knowledge in the management of all maintenance works contracts, understanding all required standards of performance, including audit, time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own car.
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft packages or equivalent (e.g. G Suite).
- Managing budgets relevant to their consulting contract, ensuring that they are appropriate, and expenditure kept within budget and delivered in accordance with the Financial Regulations, Standing Orders and audit requirements taking appropriate action when variances occur.
- Produce regular reports on supplier performance ensuring that early remedial action can be taken under the contract and will be responsible for all contract management from inception through to completion.
- Oversee and manage planned programmes covering energy efficiency works across all regions.
- Ensuring that the management of major works contracts meet all required standards of performance, including audit, time, cost, quality and customer satisfaction
- Assist with the preparation of reports on supplier performance ensuring that early remedial action can be taken under the contract and if necessary, ensuring that contracts are determined in line with the authority delegated under Standing Orders.
- Ensuring complaints and disrepair claims are dealt with in a quick and effective manner and follow the organisation policies and procedures
