Job Title: SEN Teaching AssistantLocation: DerbyJob Type: Full-time or Part-timeStart Date: ASAPJob Overview:Aspire People are seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team, working in SEN settings across Derby. This role involves supporting children with additional needs and challenging behavior, providing essential 1-1 or 2-1 support as required.Key Responsibilities:Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs, ensuring they can access the curriculum and reach their full potential.Work closely with teachers and other staff to develop and implement individual education plans (IEPs).Manage and support challenging behavior in a calm and professional manner, using appropriate de-escalation techniques.Assist in creating a safe and supportive learning environment for all students.Engage with students in both group settings and on a one-to-one basis, adapting strategies to meet their unique needs.Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress, reporting any concerns or developments to the relevant staff.Requirements:Experience: Must have prior experience working with children with SEN, particularly those with challenging behavior.Skills: Strong communication, patience, and resilience are essential.
