Job Description
Techniche Global are supporting leading automotive manufacturer to appoint a Telematics Unit Project Design EngineerKey responsibilities:
  • Generation and release of TCU configuration data for European vehicles
  • Managing Tier 1 suppliers to deliver products to Quality, Cost & Timing targets.
  • Coordination of in house and supplier TCU validation to Nissan design standards ahead of new software releases
  • Collaboration with Off Board Connected Car test teams (both on board and off board) and customer orientated engineering team to confirm system performance for remote commands
  • Project manager responsible for co-ordinating cross carline projects for both on board and off board connected car and infotainment teams.
  • Collaboration with connected car design and test teams to define and maintain project development scope, schedule and test plans.
  • Manage and maintain cross carline development planner and ensure project engineers maintain development schedules and meet quality targets through all gateways.
  • Collaboration with Telematics Service Providers, ensuring their development schedules are aligned to Nissan milestones.
  • Perform design reviews at key milestones
  • Implementation of on-board telematics systems for Nissan vehicles manufactured in Europe for global markets.
Qualifications and Experienced required: Degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant disciplineManufacturing BOM management experience (advantageous) Required
  • Experience with Telematics hardware, systems and knowledge of vehicle connectivity.
  • -Understanding of mobile network infrastructure and data transfer
Desirable
  • Knowledge of 5G technologies
  • Knowledge of non-European mobile networks
  • Knowledge in MQTT
  • Knowledge in End to End System architecture understanding with Cloud Infrastructure
  • Understanding in European Ecall regulation
