Your new company
You will be joining a principal contractor based in Birmingham working on water projects across the Midlands area. My client offers a strong pipeline of work and, due to continued success, they are looking to onboard a Temporary Works Designer to join their team.
Your new role
As Temporary Works Designer, your core design areas will include access haul roads, towpath assessments, crane pads, sheet pile assessments and basic timber shutter designs to name a few. You will also support the operational team on the projects you are assigned to as well as hold responsibility for coordinating designs with the temporary works coordinators.
What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will hold an HND/degree (or similar) in Construction or Civil Engineering and have experience using CAD software. You will also have knowledge of STAAD (or similar finite element software) and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
