About the Role:
As a Unix Operations Consultant, you will:
- Perform day-to-day administration, monitoring, and support of Unix/Linux Servers.
- Schedule and execute regular maintenance tasks.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues and provide timely support.
- Implement and maintain security policies.
- Optimize system performance and ensure high availability.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell Scripting and other programming languages.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Provide 24/7 on-call service.
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux operating systems (eg, Red Hat, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Strong knowledge of Shell Scripting (eg, Bash, Perl, Python).
- Experience with configuration management tools (eg, Ansible, Puppet, Jenkins).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure).
- Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
- Experience with virtualization technologies (eg, VMware, KVM).
- Knowledge of storage systems and backup solutions.
- Experience with monitoring tools (eg, Nagios, Zabbix, Prometheus).
- Ability to work in agile teams (Scrum or Kanban).
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Fluency in English and French.
- EU citizenship.
