Position: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
Location: Nottingham
Department: Finance
Reports to: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Direct Reports: Group Financial Controller & Divisional Finance Heads.
Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in Sports Construction/Manufacturing is highly desirable.
Position Overview
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) will play a critical role in developing and implementing the financial strategy of SIS Pitches. As a key member of the executive leadership team, the CFO will oversee all financial operations, provide strategic financial input, and ensure the long-term financial stability and growth of the organization. This position requires a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of financial management, corporate finance, and business operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership
Collaborate with the CEO and executive team to develop and execute the company's strategic plan.
Provide financial insight and guidance on company growth, market expansion, and new business opportunities.
Develop and implement financial strategies to support the company's overall business objectives. - Financial Planning and Analysis
Oversee the preparation and analysis of financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and decision-making.
Monitor financial performance against budget and forecast, identifying and addressing variances. - Risk Management and Compliance
Ensure compliance with financial regulations, standards, and best practices.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and risk management processes.
Oversee the audit process and manage relationships with external auditors. - Operational Finance
Manage the financial planning and analysis, accounting, tax, treasury, and internal audit functions.
Oversee cash flow management, capital allocation, and investment strategies.
Implement and maintain efficient financial systems, processes, and policies. - Stakeholder Management
Serve as the primary point of contact for financial matters with the board of directors, investors, and other key stakeholders.
Prepare and present financial reports, analysis, and recommendations to the board and executive team.
Foster strong relationships with banks, financial institutions, and other external partners. - Team Leadership and Development
Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
Develop and implement professional development plans for finance team members.
Promote collaboration and effective communication within the finance team and across the organization.
Qualifications and Experience
Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. Experience in Sports Construction/Manufacturing is highly desirable.
