- Salary: £12.29 - £18.44 per hour
My client are seeking detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a high-energy, fast-paced environment to join our team as a Warehouse Operative. This role is crucial in ensuring that letters and packages are sorted and delivered efficiently and safely.
Day to Day of the role:
- Unloading mail and parcels from vehicles and sorting them within the warehouse.
- Ensuring items are correctly processed and dispatched to their destinations.
- Working as part of a team to handle large volumes of mail, potentially sorting over a million items in a single shift.
- Adapting to various tasks throughout the shift and maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Operating and moving heavy trolleys and lifting mail bags as part of your daily tasks.
- Standing for extended periods while maintaining a high level of productivity.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in warehouse or sorting work is beneficial.
- Previous experience with distribution companies like Amazon, DPD, DHL, or XPO is highly regarded.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
- Proactive, detail-focused, and comfortable with switching tasks.
- Capable of pushing trolleys (up to 250kgs) and lifting/moving mail bags (up to 11kg).
- Comfortable standing for long periods.

Shift Patterns and Pay Rates:
- Early: 06:00-14:00 - £12.29 per hour
- Late: 14:00-22:00 - £13.63 per hour
- Night: 22:00-06:00 - £14.81 per hour
- Bank Holiday: £18.44 per hour
