Job Description

We're hiring an Account Director to champion integration, innovation, and strategic excellence in a global role. This position involves designing and drafting communication goals and strategic approaches for an online e-commerce fashion retailer.

The Account Director works with the Executive/Business Director in managing the team's work while ensuring that the client objectives and strategic needs are met. They will also manage an Account Manager and Account Executive.

The Account Director should have a POV, a proactive outlook, and a genuine interest in the industry and in strong client management.

Qualifications:
  • Broad media planning experience and strong knowledge of offline/online media channels
  • A mix of local & international media experience is preferable and a good degree of familiarity with local market nuances and cultures.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and proficiency in working with numbers
  • Ability to identify new opportunities and workstreams for our clients
  • A logical and analytical thinker who is able to write strong rationales to back up proposals
  • Energetic, determined, and proactive
  • Capable of juggling a variety of tasks
  • Fluent German language is an advantage
Client Management:
  • Own client relationship and day-to-day projects on a portfolio of clients. Ensure that the team is delivering exceptional levels of client service across all touch points.
  • Generate chemistry with clients and become a valued and trusted business partner. Strengthen client relationships across all levels.
  • Understand clients' and their competitors' business needs, and be essential to solving their business problems through strategic and thoughtful input.
Strategy and Planning:
  • Overall responsibility for the media strategy and the quality of its execution.
  • Responsible for shaping media plans: deciding the investment levels and roles of each channel.
  • Understand short-, mid-, and long-term opportunities and barriers to guide clients.
  • Have the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement the strategy to deliver.
Campaign Management:
  • Take full ownership and quality control of the output of the team's work.
  • Guide and train more junior members of the team on campaign execution, digital excellence, implementation, and reporting.
  • Manage financial accuracy and ensure campaign trackers are up to date.
Local Teams Coordination:
  • Coordinate global requests and ensure consistency in the quality of work produced by local teams.
  • Bring value and support local teams with any issues they might have.
  • Drive best practices across the teams.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of agency experience; international experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to explain complex media theories & technology simply to clients, partners, and internal teams.
  • Proven experience developing & implementing media strategies against specified client objectives, using specialist resources as required.
  • Enjoy building relationships with your team, clients, local partner agencies, and new business prospects.
  • Strong leadership ability with an approachable work style, gaining the respect of the team.
  • You are autonomous but know when and how to involve senior management effectively.
  • Resourceful and a problem-solver.
