Job Description
Position: Accounting Manager up to €70,000
Location: Germany, Giesson - 2/3 days onsite
We are looking for an experienced Accounting Manager for a leading software brand to oversee financial reporting, compliance, and process optimization. In this role, you will manage financial statements, monitor liquidity, ensure accurate accounting, and lead a high-performing finance team. You will also play a key role in driving the digital transformation of financial processes while collaborating with auditors, tax advisors, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting and financial reporting in compliance with HGB and IFRS standards
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency
- Manage accounts receivable, accounts payable, and fixed asset accounting
- Monitor and optimize liquidity planning and cash flow management
- Oversee the dunning process and ensure accurate Accounts Receivable (AR) reporting
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, and regulatory authorities.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Build and lead a motivated, high-performing finance team, fostering professional growth and development
What You'll Need
- Several years of accounting experience, ideally in a leadership role
- Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent qualification such as Accountant certification)
- Proven expertise in financial statement preparation and compliance with HGB and IFRS
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with a structured and detail-oriented approach
- A hands-on mindset, able to manage both operational tasks and strategic initiatives
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams
- Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- A proactive, solution-oriented attitude with strong problem-solving abilities
- Independent working style and strong organizational skills
