Job Description
Department: Finance Reporting to: Financial Controller DATE/REF: December 2024 Purpose of Role: The European group of this global company currently has three entities, based in the UK, France and Czech Republic. The role will be to work with the relevant Finance teams to produce accurate and timely reporting of financial information for all three entities, for submission to the US parent, local senior management, and relevant in country government bodies. Key Responsibilities: • To carry out daily multi-currency bank reconciliations and process cheque payments for all entities within RTC Europe LTD processed via the UK office. • Process supplier invoices on the appropriate accounting package, including liaising with account managers and procurement team to resolve any supplier queries and/or processing issues. • Setting up and amending supplier details on the appropriate accounting package. • Preparing and issuing intercompany recharge invoices for all charges from the UK office. • Producing and analysing Creditor reports, undertaking supplier statement reconciliations, and ensuring payment of supplier invoices to agreed terms. • Working with the Procurement team and the Financial Controller to agree payment terms with supplier in advance of trading. • Fortnightly expenses collation, reconciliation and payment, • Monthly reconciliation and posting of company credit card transactions. • Monthly GBP and foreign currency petty cash reconciliations. • To carry out twice monthly supplier payment runs and set up ad-hoc payments as and when needed. • Liaise with the Management Accountant to ensure the prepayment records and fixed asset register are up to date • Assist with month-end close procedures and preparation of management reports • Proactively work to ensure that all RTC associates adhere to their authorised spend levels. • Monitoring the Europe Finance email account and dealing with queries • Assist in the annual financial audits as required. • Various ad-hoc tasks as required within finance department. Requirements Educational attainment: Desirable • AAT qualified or working towards qualification Essential • GCSE Maths & English Knowledge: Essential • Knowledge of financial/ budgeting systems and reporting tools. • Minimum basic Excel and confident in its use. Experience: Essential • Experience working in a Finance department, preferably in an AP role. Skills and aptitudes: Essential • Excellent time management and organisation skills with the ability to work on multiple projects whilst adhering to tight deadlines. • Computer literate Microsoft Office 365 Personal qualities: Essential • Attention to detail; • Happy in a hands-on role; Circumstances: Essential • Current driving licence
