Job Description

Velindre Cancer Centre are thrilled to announce they are looking to recruit a SACT Advanced Clinical Practitioner (ACP) to join its expanding ACP team with a primary focus on SACT pre assessment.

We are looking for a forward thinker!

A qualified or trainee ACP with recent experience in prescribing and administering SACT, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, targeted treatments, and supportive medicines.

Are you on a Masters pathway as a trainee ACP? Or do you have relevant experience? There is a place for you here with the team, and we welcome your application. We can support a training and development opportunity, providing you are able to undertake the essentials of advanced clinical assessment, diagnostic reasoning, planning care and prescribing.

If you are applying for this role as a Trainee band 7 ACP role, there will be an opportunity for the right candidate to progress to the ACP at 8a level once fully qualified and successful completion of the VUNHST ACP ratification process (Annex 21 could be applied).

VCC is a non-surgical tertiary centre treating patients with solid tumours, and it is our mission to deliver great care and patient experience.

Main duties of the job

In this role, the successful applicant will work alongside the existing site-specific teams inclusive of Consultants, Registrars, SAS Doctors and the wider multi-disciplinary team including ANPs, AHPs and CNS's (not exhaustive) to support and deliver a streamlined pathway from pre assessment to SACT administration. Velindre Cancer Centre is entering a phase of transformation across the SACT pathway, and this role will play an integral part in the improvement and strategic development of SACT services.
