AI Director - Open to part-time

Who We Are

Singulier provides digital strategy and transformation support for private equity/investment funds and their portfolio companies. We collaborate with our clients to establish task forces that can perform strategic digital operations resulting in rapid and sustainable impact. Unlike other consulting firms, we don't end our work at the recommendation; we work closely with our clients to implement the prototype or pilot and support transformation to ensure that we are immediately providing tangible value.

We working with leading investors and their portfolio companies. Some of our clients to date have included: KKR, Bain Capital, Advent International, CVC Capital Partners, EQT and many more.


Our diverse team of approximately 80 professionals based in London, Paris & Munich includes consultants from both operational and strategy backgrounds (including data engineers, digital media experts, and UX experts). Our members are graduates of the best business and engineering schools and possess extensive experience in the field. Founded in 2017, we have grown rapidly and are currently building our new team in Germany.

Location: Paris or London. Expected to work in the office at least 50% with some remote working

Key responsibilities

This role will work with senior leadership to develop an implement Singulier's AI strategy. This role will develop and implement an AI action plan, focused on the following objectives

  1. Accelerate Singulier's sales of pure AI and AI enabled projects in order to increase the number of use cases
  2. Support delivery of key AI projects
  3. Build Singulier's capacity to develop and deliver AI projects
  4. Support Singulier to build the company's brand as a credible advisor on AI
  5. Support Singulier to better utilize AI to facilitate internal operations

This role will have a deep understanding of what off-the shelf GenAI tools are available, and advise which are most relevant across the business value chain (for internal & external use)

Accelerate Singulier's sales of pure AI and AI enabled projects in order to increase the number of use cases (40%)

  • Collaborate with Partners on business development, including developing proposals and pitching to clients on AI-related topics
  • Develop and document Singulier's AI-specific offers, working closely with internal stakeholders
  • Work with Practice Leaders to embed AI in other existing offers
  • Review BPI Booster scheme to see if relevant to boost Singulier's sales

Support delivery of key AI projects (20%)

  • Deliver the most complex & innovative AI projects
  • Ensure that strategy consulting teams have capabilities to deliver AI offers
  • Advise teams by troubleshooting ongoing AI consulting projects

Build Singulier's capacity to develop and deliver AI projects (10%)

  • Run training for staff across the company to roll out offer and build capacity to deliver projects
  • Convene an internal AI governance group to ensure involvement of stakeholders across the company

Support Singulier to better utilize AI to facilitate internal operations (20%)

  • Advise which GenAI tools are most relevant across all Singulier functions, with focus on those that support core consulting
  • Work with internal staff to implement relevant tools

Support Singulier to build the company's brand as a credible advisor on AI (10%)

  • Advise or participate in AI-related external events
  • Contribute to Singulier's AI-related marketing materials
  • Advise on how Singulier can further build their brand as an AI-driven company
  • Document relevant AI tools and use cases by industry sector for sharing externally to support marketing and sales

Required Skills and Experience:

  • A bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field (such as business or engineering) from a top university
  • At least 10-12 years working with AI and GenAI
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills
  • An international background and the ability to grow and be successful in multicultural organisations
  • Proficiency in using tools like Excel and PowerPoint
  • Fluency in French and English
