Assistant Accountant, £30,000 - £35,000, Hybrid, Birkenhead

Job Purpose:As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in preparing and reporting high-quality financial information. You will support the management of key month-end processes, provide financial analysis, and support various projects.
Key Responsibilities:

Cashflow Management and Reconciliation

Contribute to the month and quarter-end close processes, including:

Lease accounting

Fixed assets

Reconciliation

Payroll postings and cost allocation

Own and manage Balance Sheet accounts, ensuring control and understanding of balances

Report and forecast cash flow

Manage banking and investments in line with company guidelines

Provide financial support and respond to ad-hoc requests from key stakeholders

Ensure accurate P&L and Balance Sheet reporting

Key Skills and Experience:

Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA)

Excellent organisational skills

Experience in accounting roles with transactional experience

Proactive, flexible, and able to meet tight deadlines
