The Peninsula London is excited to announce that we are hiring an experienced Assistant Director of Security & Operational Risk responsible for assisting the Departmental Director leading the division in addition to supporting the implementation of all safety and security programmes of the property, encompassing guests, residents, colleagues and hotel assets.

Key accountabilities
- Be a strong leader who can take responsibility for the day to day running of the department and ensure the long-term success of the security and safety operations of The Peninsula London Hotel and Residences.
- Exceed guest expectations with service, in keeping with the Peninsula Service Principles.
- Install a continuous improvement mindset whilst striving to improve service standards and anticipating guests and management requirements.
- Assist the Director of Security and Operational Risk in directing, administering, supervising, planning, coordinating, and participating in the activities of the Security Department
- Communicate and engage the wider hotel teams in all matters pertaining to the Hotel's security and safety procedures.
- Lead and coach the various departmental Managers and Directors to develop processes and procedures that will improve efficiency in all departments.
- Facilitate training for all staff in addition to providing ongoing support to current colleagues.
General requirements
- At least 5 years' experience as a Security Manager or similar in a luxury hotel environment.
- Excellent knowledge of security industry best practice across relevant security operations (loss prevention, conflict resolution, access control ).
- Excellent knowledge of security and crisis management related law and regulation.
- Ability to manage and train a large and diverse Security Team.
- Fluent English communication proficiency. Expertise in a second language would be desirable.
