Assistant Herdsperson

We require a keen, enthusiastic and hard-working person to join our team and work alongside our experienced herds people on a 450-cow dairy near Shrewsbury in Shropshire.

The farm has great infrastructure and facilities and would be a great place for someone keen to learn or enhance their knowledge about grass-based dairy farming.

The role would involve milking, proactive cow health and welfare, general stock tasks and some tractor work alongside the other herds people. You will have some background experience with livestock / machinery, but 'on-the-job' training will be given.

This is a great opportunity for someone with drive and ambition to further themselves in the dairy industry and be rewarded for their hard work.

In return we offer a competitive salary with bonus schemes and regular time off. There is a lovely two bed cottage within easy walking distance of the farm, which is free from rent and council tax.
