As Assistant Manager, you report directly to the Floor Manager and embody our core values of excellence, meritocracy, entrepreneurship, and authenticity in the day-to-day running of the restaurant. Your key areas of responsibility include:
Service quality & guest experience
Ensure the quality, consistency, and speed of service, aligned with Big Mamma's standards.
Oversee the guest welcome and experience from start to finish.
Restaurant performance
Optimize table turnover and service flow, ensuring staff efficiency in resetting tables.
Maintain average ticket targets, conduct staff briefings, request sales training when needed, and track performance of section leaders with individual follow-ups.
Floor operations
Ensure smooth daily operations.
Oversee hygiene standards on the floor.
Propose initiatives to help maintain people cost targets.
Supervise team schedules and shift planning.
Stock & equipment management
Responsible for wine, tableware, and apron inventory and orders.
Oversee cash register operations and ensure compliance.
Ensure proper care and respect for restaurant equipment.
Team management & development
Participate in the recruitment process for new hires.
Support the onboarding and integration of new team members.
Provide daily support, motivation, and coaching to the floor team.
Be a key player in team spirit, cohesion, and overall morale.
What We Offer:
Highly competitive salary starting from £55,000 per year.
