Job Description

Our client is looking for an Atelier Manager for a luxury fashion house. The candidate should be from a luxury fashion background, had prior experience as a studio manager at an on-schedule fashion week showcasing design house, have a strong skillset in managing a team, be rehearsed in product development & the luxury cycle. The client is moving into a new studio HQ in 2025 designed for a modern-day luxury house & press client. They have a global high-profile client & are looking for someone to join their team that can communicate with business contacts with sensitivity & maintain relationships for the company.

The client is looking for a candidate with strong people skills that the team can be motivated and inspired by. A personality that can drive forward business growth and evolve with them as they move into a new studio space and approach future catwalk showcases.

This position is not suitable for a recent graduate.

STUDIO MANAGEMENT

•Lead, motivate & inspire the clothing team, to drive the clothing business forward with a

work ethic & company culture suitable for a luxury house.

•Critical path management, workflows, schedule & manage the team and ensuring deadline adherence to company goals.

•Prepare all tasks & questions for a weekly 1 day of clothing design & development meetings with the owner.

•Book in shipments / courier & keep a track of deliveries.

•Attendance & sign in sheets.

•Management of the full internal & freelance team on busy days for photoshoots & catwalk.

Manage freelancer contracts with NDAs, timekeeping, company rules & private set policies.

•Press samples inventory management.

•Cross-functional team coordination between clothing, communication & business departments.

•Setting firm boundaries for the business & handling sensitive business information.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

•Manage product development cycle liaising with designers, seamstress & pattern cutters across multiple product categories including clothing, bags & jewellery.

•Driving the fashion label forward by introducing new products, techniques & fabrics to our collection. They aim for 70% new products each season with 30% carry over.

•Fabric sourcing, negotiations & liaisons with fabric suppliers & manufacturers for scalable manufacturing.

•Order fabric / components with monthly order lists & wholesale order forms.

•Fabric & components regular stock count & upkeep in atelier.

•Update the clothing atelier collection mood boards with inspiration, designs & fabric.

•Oversee brand partnership collaborations between the brand brief & the design team ensuring quality of work & deadlines are met for successful partnerships.

•Manage pattern cutting library, archive patterns, new season in an organised manner.

•Organise fabric library for the design team & ordering process to be seamless.

•Organise factory samples & full system of atelier.

MANUFACTURING

•Tech Packs for clothing manufacturing.

•Costings & consumptions for all products on our spreadsheets with accuracy, currency exchange & profitability calculations before DTC & wholesale pricing.

•Factory manufacturing, short run production & wholesale production. Pack & prepare this in house & submit factory orders into relevant factories.

•Quality control & receive goods from factory.

WHOLESALE

•Create the line sheet ready for wholesale buyers each season, ready before LFW.

•Ensure our wholesale orders are delivered timely in the delivery windows.

•Growth of wholesale through working with our sales showrooms & agents.

•Buy through liaisons & feedback with wholesale buyers mid season to ensure that the wholesale stockists will buy into the next season.

•Managing payments tracking for wholesale clients.

Skills and Experience Required

Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience working in the luxury fashion industry.

• Has worked for a London Fashion Week catwalk designer previously as a studio manager for 4 seasons.

• Has managed production & delivery for wholesale in an organised & timely manner.

• Have a go-getter mindset, very driven and motivated for a long term career aim in luxury fashion.

• Background developing products in luxury fashion that are ready to the quality for wholesale & desirable for successful sales.

• Understands how to use a spreadsheet: Numbers & Google Sheets

• Very organised with strong attention to detail

• Strong people leader & motivator

• Can work at ease under pressure

• Can adhere to company policies, workflows, structure & systems in place.
